As their husbands played video games, their kids ran wild around the living room, and rain poured from the Seattle sky, two friends started talking about a crazy idea...

You can guess where this is going. The result of that conversation (and many more) is Tea with Jam and Bread. As two moms who still try to embrace everything good (and fun) life has to offer, we strive to bring you the best in style, food, and culture, while sharing tips, ideas, and inspiration on everything from doable DIY to date night to surviving plane rides with kids.

Born and raised in the Northwest, Ashley loves cloudy skies, cookbooks (and every other type of book), and water skiing. An introvert at heart, she studied history in school and has worked in marketing for companies like Amazon and Microsoft. Nowadays, you’re most likely to find her outside walking her very energetic yellow lab while trying to keep her very energetic two-year old from running into oncoming traffic.

When she's not driving carpools and having dance competitions with her two kids, Kaitlin loves shopping, sewing and watching Mindy Project reruns. She's still in denial that 30 is just around the corner and, as a result, tries to never take life too seriously. She and her husband are both from the Seattle area which may explain her bizarre love for the rain.
