Bachelor Party

Through 12 years and 19 seasons, I'm still a big Bachelor fan. I know, it's the same idea every...single....time: a bunch of girls (or guys) thrown together in a house without television or connection to the outside world and a lot of alcohol. Of course there'll be drama! But that's why I love it so much.
Admittedly, I'm typically more of a Bachelorette fan, but this season's Bachelor, Chris Soules won even my husband's admiration during last season's bachelorette. Who doesn't love the classic All-American farm boy?

One of the best parts of Bachelor season is getting together each week to watch with my girlfriends. We gather once our kids have gone to bed for treats and some good old fashioned girl time. We're all pretty opinionated so the commentary during the episode is quite entertaining.

Since the content each season has gotten predictable over the years, I started making Bachelor Bingo cards with commonly occurring phrases and/or scenes. We like to use red hots or hot tamales as bingo markers but you could use rose petals, sweethearts or even cut up pieces of paper. The game helps mix things up a little bit for those of us who have been watching since Trista's time. Whoever hosts the game can bring a small prize for the winner, who then becomes responsible for the game and prize the following week.

So while I'm still waiting for Chris Harrison to follow through on his promise for the most dramatic moment in Bachelor history, I'm really looking forward to starting the season on Monday. Hopefully there will won't be too many stumbles, awkward introductions or catfights. Will you be tuning in?
